Trying to build some armor for paintball. I'm using Eva foam. Hopefully it is strong enough to take a shot and not break.

Not recommended. We get several of these threads a year, but no one at the 405th is going to encourage you on a path of not using rated safety equipment, so it's at your own risk.

Better idea: Look into learning how to do fiberglass layups and/or vacuforming ABS or polycarbonate, or find some paintball armour you can modify or cover over.

I get what you are saying. It is not meant to protect me. I usually go with nothing more than tight shirt. It is only meant to look cool as I go play.

I've done some test shots with an airsoft gun and it messed it up pretty bad, I think a paintball might be a little worse

That's pretty cool. Though, given the appearance of the impacts in the video, be ready to feel some stings through the foam itself.

I understand. I usually only go with just a t-shirt on. I pray for the best and expect the worst as they say.

You should use polycarbonate. It's pretty cheap and if you have a heat gun you can form it to the stuff you have already made. A 28" X 30" X .085" sheet is just under $27 at Lowes, it's called Lexan. That one sheet is more that big enough to either do a helmet, a chest piece, a back piece, or several arm or leg pieces. And it's stupid tough. Some sunglasses are made from the stuff and can take a 12 gauge (pellet shot) at 10ft, though I don't recommend actually trying that. Then just add your eva foam as padding.
