Halo Reach Needle Rifle Prop Build

Here is my progress so far on the needle rifle. This has been an on and off project for the past few months. just like the rest of my prop weapons, it is made out of styrofoam and all the pieces are held together with hot glue. Its almost finish and I can't wait to see the final product. I will post more WIP photos when I can.
Have any of you made a needle rifle? If you have, I would like to see your replica.

That looks awesome man! Do you have any intentions of hardening it with epoxy resin or the like?

does it open... because I has one that does. not that hard to do but you might need to cut here and there to do it.

Yes. For my styrofoam props I seal them in Elmer's glue, PVA glue or wood glue.

No, it doesn't flip up. I eventually want to remake a resin cast model of the of the needle rifle and add in LED's, sound affects and the reloading mechanism.

well I see you've built both of the weapons that I built out of cardboard and cut them down so it doesn't look like a hunter had to hold them but a marine. if you make another one salce it down a little.

Looks like this needle rifle is perfect scale for the average person to hold, judging by the height of the doorknob in one of the pics. His focus rifle is also on point for size if you were to compare it to a real steel, large calibre rifle.

true but how's he going to carry it at a con? I mean I had to cut mine down for several reasons but it still looks like it.

Foxleader, as a prop maker, I try to make all props to there full scale, especially my Halo props. I am very committed to my projects and I do as much research as possible. The needle rifle is 49.9 inches (126.7 centimeters) in length.
And if you are worried about it breaking at a convention, here is a photo of me at Salt Lake Comic Con this year and my focus rifle came back home in great condition. And here's size comparison to me, I'm 6 ft (182.8 centimeters) tall and the focus rifle is 57.2 inches (145.5 centimeters) in length.
You aren't the first person notice this. People are always asking me why I make my props the way I do and some have even called me crazy. I strive for accuracy and detail and I find it to be a fun and interesting challenge making the Halo weapons at the scale they are. Plus yeah, I guess I am crazy. I am already planning to build a full scale replica of the binary rifle which clocks in at a crazy 75.0 inches (190.5 centimeters)!

well good luck with the next one right now I'm trying to get over my halo 5 lengardy play through and the end omg I knew something like this would happened. I've got a new gun to build and its big talking bigger then a turret big.

Hi all I am not sure if this has been asked. Would anyone have a Model Rip for the Needle Rifle so I could rotate it to help with beginningmy Build ?
