hey, bud. I help a buddy with one of andrew's DFT template. I got a few tips to help you on that.
For me, A box cutter is way simpler tool than a craft hobby knife. and having extra blades help.
heated each shape with a heat gun, (evenly and a lot) pressed to mold into shape, a=nd use duct tape to help hold its shape overtime.
the helmet required a lot of molding and editing.
instead of using a transparent folder. use a clear plastic face shield, and one way window tint film. have a card ready to apply in the face shield, then cut it out. test the shape out of the visor wit clear tape first. don't use hot glue on the where the plastic meet unless it's certain or necessary. super glue will do great.
