ok I loved this armor so much I just couldn't wait for someone to model and get a pep for it, so I thought I'd start making something I would do more but I have no shots or references of the side or back so if anyone finds some please post, and I'll keep looking as well, right now its just cardboard because I cant do anything till this stupid cold weather stops producing snow on my balcony, but I will be doing some test molds here in a few days of my mark IV hand plates which I also remade. but for now halo wars chest plate prototype

I am totally with you on that one timecon. This weather is starting to annoy me... Every time it starts to warm up, a blizzard brings in a fresh layer of snow. The piece looks great so far! You have done a great job with limited reference shots. Props to ya.

looks pretty sweet Timecon!
got any tips for making scratch builds? Like the kind of materials or how you layer the pieces?
I'd like to try and make a helmet/chest piece from a different video game and I'm not really sure how to do it.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Figure out dimensions
draw out what needs to be cut out on a piece of paper or card
trace that onto cardboard or in my case styrene
Cut everything out
glue
fiberglass (this step isn't necessary when using styrene, unless whatever your making needs some extra re-enforcement)
patch up with bondo.

nicely done so far timecon, your a cardboard god!

Very Impressive timecon! I'm always excited to see some really cool cardboard armor... Are you going to modify some pep pieces as well? Nugget's MVl forearms look a little similar to the halo wars armor (my opinion).

Thanks for all the comments and support, again if anyone finds more reference pics side and back please feel free to post I was only working off the one adam posted and the new cover to the game, I would really like to do more on this

Amazing work as always! I cannot believe how well you translate what you see on paper into a real piece. Nice one Tim. ;)
