Hey all, thinking of making some mass effect armor, but first...

Just a quick hello to everyone here. I've been a bit of a fan of the work that goes on here and the community seems awesome, so with that in mind along with the fact that I enjoy making foam props/suits I figured I would sign up and share my progress on my next build.

I'm very new to actually making these things so obviously tips are always welcome but I have had some experience at least and read up on a few ideas for previous things.

The first build I attempted was for a local club night which runs themes once a month (great excuse to dress up imo) and was "Game Icons" so I went with a skyrim build.

Here's how that went (I was pretty happy for my first ever build)

As it was very time restricted I just went with what foam was readily available (camping mat and craft foam)

The fit was comfortable so I went for it

Detailing with craft foam and a quick spray silver but obviously I wanted it to look like it had taken a beating so I played around with a few things and got it to this

Once I was happy with the helm I figured I would have a play around with some fake fur and get the rest of it going

Again for nothing other than speed I went for foam for the remaining pieces

I was never happy with the leg armor (would love to have got myself some leather)

I do have boots but no pics of those unfortunately

Now on to my next build (mass effect)

There really is nothing quite like putting on a helmet for me, I really hope I can recreate something like this as closely as possible and will be experimenting with lighting of course

NIce foaam work on the helmet! Sweet paint job also, can't wait to see what you can do with mass effect armour!

Ok I've had a bit of an idea for what is in my opinion one of the more difficult parts of the helm. See what you guys think of this.
The circular part around the "ear" with a blue led in the middle, to me could be added very easily providing that the part I have in mind is the correct size.
Hopefully I can find one that is.
