I'm quite adept at 3D printing but very new to printing things out to wear but I thought I would give it a go and naturally came across the 405th.

I will be keeping updates going and I'll be asking questions about finishing filament printed parts with pain etc but for now I'm just enjoying the CE Magnum I finished today

Also, if anyone has any tips on printing with a Artillery Sidewinder X2 then please feel free to comment!

Hey Ado, welcome! As a fairly recent recruit myself, this is a post I learned a lot from when it comes to filling imperfections, priming, and sanding. It’s a “get out what you put in” kind of process. The trend I’ve seen is prime, sand, prime, sand, paint. With variations on wet sanding, undercoats, polish, grit count, etc. Weathering is a whole other rabbit hole once you get paint on.
