Hi Will Here....

Hello To the 405th! I am Will. I am currently working on finishing a Mandalorian from Star Wars but I think my next Armor Project is going to be an either SPARTAN from Reach or ODST.

That being said, most of the YouTube Videos I have seen on "Crafting SPARTAN" are more so just saying what they did instead of showing the process, and I am a bit of a Visual Learener. I have been using Sintra on my Mandalorian, but I can pretty much guarentee you I will use a Combination of EVA foam plus maybe even a 3D Printed Helmet...

Looking Forward to getting to know you all!!!

As you can see, I botched my original helmet...but truth be told it's a miracle that thing is still holding together, but luckily Glassing the HELL out of the inside dome of that helmet hardened it up.

What happened? I cant tell a huge difference between the two but that the paintjob is different. On my phone it is two small to see the second helmet, but the first one looked absolutely amazing!

That is a very toit Mandalorian so far my good sir!

And if you're looking for YouTube tutorials definitely check out Andrew DFT if you haven't already, the man is a legend in this field with awesome foamsmithing tips and tricks a lot of us use for our builds. 11/10 would recommend the Pokemon card any day, perfect for making those templates for dem real noice 3D effects

Yeah man, that first one looks perfect! It screams “I’m a badass merc now hire me and get out of my way.”

As to your options on what to build,
First, which spartan armor do you want to go with? Some from reach are very intricate and time consuming, but look for different key words like “build, template or costume” etc. there are some good ones but the helmet might be up to you a tad. Also you might have to take a few liberties here and there.

Second is for the ODST, Like Schankers said I’d recommend Andrew, phenomenal but the only thing I have against it (and this is as bad as saying whole milk tastes slightly different from 2%) is it’s very simple and a little blocky for if you want something custom. But I love it for the same reason, because it is what an ODST is supposed to be, nameless faceless NPC that helps out the spartan. So, very simple design and easy to replicate. His tutorial is easy to follow and he gives great tips for future projects.

Now I know I work in a hardware store, but I just use a level or ruler or t-square or right angle square or yard stick but yeah, a pokemans card works too lol.

Yeah I know. It's step by step. But I am going to go Commander Shepard for my first run I think. Personally, when I make my Spartan, I am going to go Reach.....:)
