how much does it cost to make armor?

i am new and am reading all i can to learn how to make the armor. right now it seems pretty simple. i was just wondering how much money it cost to make a full master cheif suit?

Pepakura armor cost around $50-$60 for low quality pepakura amor. Molding is a couple thousand I think.

This will vary greatly by construction technique.

1.) Make Peparuka Armor (hundreds)
1.) Make Molded Armor (thousands)
1.) Buy Molded Armor (1-3 thousand)

Wrong, Just using pepakura for the full armor will cost you over 300.

For basic supplies and no details or reinforcement, which will make you look like a walking polygon... sure $50-60 if all you ever do is plan to fold the paper models and nothing else.

Just for the helmet it will cost you more then a 100USD, 200USD for a good helmet...

EDIT: If you are trying to go around the prices at this stage your helmet will suck... it will be expensive and there is nothing to do about it I have used around 700USD for everything i have done so far.

My first suit, done in less than 4 weeks. Let it be an example of how NOT to make a 'quality' suit of armor.

It really depends on how much you want to spend. And how good you want it to look. Me, I'm making mine 'on the cheap', but already I've found that anything vaguely useful is gonna cost money. So 'on the cheap' is probably gonna be at least $100-$200NZ.

mwahahaha, I know that isn't too helpful, but its still frickin cool!

I tried Marine first, yet the rear plate on the H1 Armor pep file was too big to fit on the paper, short of scaling it so far down it wouldn't fit a kitten.

all i use is scissors ,cardboard,and paper mache,and tape
so get the stuff then shape and i would post pics but its not quite done yet
i just did the arm and forearm today it cosyts very little and is relativly strong (dont get it wet and smack it and itll be fine)
also it takes a bout 3 hours to dry in the windy sun die harry potter

I'll be honest, if your looking to make good armor, and your not amazing with fiberglass and bondo, prepare to spend a lot of money as you "mud" your armor, get disapointed, sand it down, fill in pits, try and get the details better, find a new problem, re-mud. I honestly have never built a piece without making several runs to the store because I never planned on using as much bondo and resin as I wind up using. TBH the molded stuff I've bought has generally wound up being cheaper then my own stuff by the time I'm done "perfecting it", even then I like the molded better
