Do you use UV resin for filling in print seams?
Do you tire of holding lights up wondering if this is burning your eyeballs?
Are your Props large in size that the tiny curing boxes you see online aren't large enough?
Well look no further! Here is the tutorial for you!
Here is what you are going to need:
1. 3d Printer
2. 10mm Square wood dowels
3. UV flood lights that emit between 380nm-400nm (I found this convenient 4 pack for what I did)
4. Reflective Material (Aluminum Foil, or Space blankets, Mylar sheets)
5. Cardboard
6. Ductape
How this works:
Figure out how large of a box you want to make and cut your 6 side panels accordingly.
Glue/tape one side with your reflective material, you are in essence making a giant mirror box for full coverage of anything that goes inside
You will need to print 8 corner supports (files made by yours truly, also in the attached files)
This will act as the connectors for your box frame, this will hold both your side panels as well as the mounts for your lights
This is what mine looked like before i put in the lights (and half the sides)
Your box should fit your lights, and if you are clever you can mount them to the sticks you have cut to size like so!
This design is modular so you can make them what ever size you want to fit any size prop you can.
like a full torso plate or all the parts of your MA5B assault rifle
Always keep in a well ventilated area!!!
Funny warnings are also good for morale
Easy, effective, and can give you a 15min turn around on wet sanding (with proper protections)
Thanks for reading
