Not that great, the part between the eyes makes it kinda hard to see. Plus the fact that its sorta big on me...

Looks maybe a tad big, but except that, looking great. Don't forget fiberglass or hot glue method to get it hard.

I seriously doubt that Zenzeigan was telling you that it is bad. He was probably saying that because it's curved unlike a regular pep file.

You should definately cut the face part out and make it so you can open the helmet like in the movie.

I kid, I kid. As for making the faceplate opening up, in the movie the entire top portion rotates into place. That probably wouldn't be too hard, and Im thinking of making it rotate around the ear pieces.

no, it wasnt that lol, i dont think i could see the numbers on the helmet so i thought it was scratch

and yeah, you should fibreglass, or w/e your gonna do, the parts seperately, so later on you can attatch it to the ear pieces and hinge it

Sweet dude. I think that you may have something good going there. I'd love to see this finished.

Looks like it is coming along nicely!! What are you planning to do inbetween the joints? I know the armor has articulated joints in the movie. In other words a bunch of plates that can bend and slide over each other. Just wondering what you were gunna do to close the gaps! Keep it going though it looks awesome man! You have inspired me to start work on my War Machine...heh...after MKVI is done

I've decided to add the plastic circle thingies between the joints after I resin and bondo the upper and lower arm parts. I'm probably going to make a mold of a coffee cup bottom or something, lay one on top of the other, and screw them together. From there on, i'll drill holes into the arm parts and attach the articulated joints.

@Lo_tech stark, thanks for making the files, couldn't have done it without them.

ah, youve actually started on the suit now, nice job

personally, it will be difficult, (from personal experience)

as many people know, there is not a single gap in the suit, not a alittle gap between limbs or pieces, so ittl be difficult, but i hope this goes as well as mine did

Hey. Nice job on the armour! I'm making an iron man helmet too. Not to jack your thread or anything. But I found a different model, wich has a huge amount more of detail, and only takes 6 pages.

Actually, the iron man armor does have gaps between the main pieces, they're just covered by this metal scaly thing. The most prominent examples of this are in the neck and inner elbow. I think either craft foam or some other soft material will work for that.

For anyone else making the glove, I'm making it similarly to this edward elric automail I found here. http://amethyst-angel.com/armormaking_automail.html. Hooray for tutorials.

@smilie
Hm, I really cant decide which helmet I like better. I might just make the other one after I finish this leg.
