I am going to be showing my process on making a Paladin helmet.
If you have seen ''Upgrading my MKV B suit'' this is the smaller helmet of the two that I have made as I wont be making it for my cosplay I will post it separately here.
So the helmet has been sanded down, assembled and I am going to be trying out the 'truck bed lining' method using ........ truck bed liner textured spray paint, to give the helmet some texture, this is my first time doing this so I'm not sure If I will like it or not.
So after I got it sprayed I wasn't to keen on the look, I think that was because it was still shiny, It is strange hiding all of the smooth sanding I have done, and did hurth be a bit haha.
I waited overnight as this stuff needs a long time to fully dry, I then got it primed with some plastic grey.
After the paint was dry and not shiny anymore I am liking the look of it now, but I don't think this will be my new method, but I think it will work well in sections.
Once the primer was dried I go over the edges with some silver rub'n'buff
I will airbrush acrylic paint on and then rub it away on the edges later on, so the silver will show up again.
This is the helmet with the colours on, just the grey for now.
The front part that I haven't painted it yet but I am going to do it a blue camo .
