Yeah, the pad is a temp for now. That's why I didn't even bother changing the white thread.
Once the holiday is over, I'll go and make something more permanent now that I have a design I like.
I tried something different than with the first helmet. Many mistakes were corrected and this helmet doesn't double as a sauna as did the first.

I also didn't seal around the visor (top or bottom) so much of the air exchange comes from the front of the helmet. And the spaces between the pads also allow front to back air flow.
I was driving around town with it on and had zero fogging even with the AC on.

I'll be looking forward to seeing the finished version. I've been looking at various helmet padding schemes. My friend's MICH helmet provided good inspiration. That must have been quite a sight to see a guy driving around with a master Chief helmet on .

Wait, has anyone else used blue lights? I don't remember seeing any.
