MC Helmet

Hi everybody!

I'm planning to make my own MC helmet, but I need some help, from experts ;-)

I stated one, but I am nor able to keep de right dimensions for my helmet (It was a scale 2:1 ^^). So is there anyone who can give me tips, or the dimension of his own helmet.

I'm planning also to use special cardboard (1 mm large approx.) but I don't really undersand everything I see on the other posts (Vacuum, bonco, this kind of stuff.)

I don't have a lot of money, so which material should I use? I read the bonco was toxic when sanding. So I don't really want to buy a mask.

Vacuum, I really don't know what it is.

Last question, should I buy the visor first (to help me keeping the dimensions) or buy it after I painted it?

Yes, buy the visor first. This will help you figure out how big to make the helmet. Second, we have plenty of topics on making the helmet out of matboard and things of that nature.
