So I’ve known about Halo for YEARS.
I think it might actually be the first video game I attempted to play, but I got chased off fast. I was never allowed to play video games growing up, so my hand-eye coordination isn't great. Needless to say, it did not go well, and I was made fun of mercilessly by my "friends." Despite not touching the video games, I still enjoyed watching Red vs. Blue and bits of Arby 'n' the Chief; in fact, before we started dating, my husband and I bonded over episodes of Red vs. Blue. I didn't attempt to touch video games until over a decade later when my husband and I had begun dating. I still wasn't thrilled about sucking, but I loved watching him play. I remember when Halo 4 came out and watching him play through that and thoroughly enjoying the gameplay, cinematics and lore dumps along the way.
I think I'm finally ready to try to get back on the horse so to speak when it comes to facing the challenges I have when it comes to playing video games. We're working to get a system set up my computer as I type this so I can hopefully try my hand at playing some of the games on my pc through Steam.
I hope at the very least to eventually be able to build a custom Spartan set of armor, but if I ever have the funds, I would REALLY love to try for an Elite costume at some point. That's big time future dreams though.
Anyways, off to explore more and see what resources I can find and absorb what knowledge I can!
