Midwest Crafting & Repair Meet-up for Ohio and surrounding States

Welcome to the 1st Ohio crafting & repairing meeting. We can craft and show show our techniques for it all while we prepare for Cleveland Gaming Classic. This thread is to plan the meet up and vote for a time. 405th members from Ohio and surrounding states are welcome and I guess anybody else crazy enough to make the trip.

The plan is for Saturday June 15th at my place. It will start at noon and go on till the evening or later. PM me for the address if you plan to make it out that day.

My place is east of Cleveland. It has a walk out basement that is all workshop space. I also have a turn around driveway with plenty of parking. I have all the tools for 3d printing and woodworking. There is a fire pit in the back if we would want to cook there.

Sounds like your place would work really well. I had mentioned my place close to Cedar Point in Ohio but my garage is taken up and basement isn’t very craft friendly. A lot of my work is done in the dining room, driveway or backyard.

Very interested to head that way and meet and work with others.

I'm close to the Ohio line, so any place on the East side of Cleveland I could easily make. Would this be a 1,2,or 3 day long event do you reckon?

Probably a one day event. I don't mind if anybody needs to stay over before driving back if we choose my place.

Id love to come down! It’s a 2.5 hour drive for me. So long as school isn’t kicking my butt I should be able to visit!

My work schedule is all over the place so I won't vote, but if a date is decided and I'm not traveling I'd make an effort to participate. Kind of you to offer your place! I'm with Fido over near Cedar Point, we could make it work for sure.

I'm thinking June 15th or July 13th would work well for the crafting meet up. We could even have 2 crafting events on those days. This might be ideal because there's a chance booth assets for Cleveland Gaming Classic would be built at my place this summer.

I think either could possibly work with my schedule. Also maybe I could get some help with foam templates from people who actually know what they’re doing, unlike myself.

June 15th works especially well because it's the weekend that kicks off my reading week (that's like spring break to you americans, but we get one every semester) so I wouldn't be stressing about school.

I'll be far out of town on July 13th so that date wouldn't work for me.
