Ok, so I've started building my armor about a week ago and, as you can see, I've started with the helmet. My overall build design will be a cross between the Mark VI GEN 2 and Master Chief's Mark VI MOD. I am using 1/2 inch EVA foam and 2mm craft foam. I would like you guys to critique how I'm doing so far, and PLEASE give me some pointers, cause I'm not entirely sure I know what I'm doing.

The tops a bit more rounded but for a first try at a helmet, it’s in pretty good shape. Helmets are the hardest thing to do in this hobby so best of luck!

You definitely did better with those vent things at the top of the helmet than I did! What adhesive are you currently using?

I am using loctite 5 second professional superglue, though I slipped up on part of the front and there I resorted to hot glue.

Ok I’ve been making progress, but it’s been slow going due to a mountain of high school work and a severely cut thumb. On a side note, does anyone have recommendations for the lights on the sides of the helmet?

I'm using bicycle lights, good luck

Ok, well, I have to postpone my build for now. My family is moving next month, so the build is on hold. But I will get back to it as soon as possible.

Moving can be chaotic and stressful. Take the time you need and we will be here waiting as soon as you are ready.

Note: If it has been a long time no worry if there is a warning about an old thread as long as it is a thread you started
