Modeling Halo: Reach's Mark V [B]

Hello Everyone, My name is Jayven and I am currently in the Blocking Out Phase of modeling an extremely Accurate Mark V 3D printable model with techsuit. This is based of the 2010 Halo: Reach/ MMC model, Not the Halo Infinite there's a lot of really good models which capture the Infinite model. The infinite model is overall different from the Reach one with certain parts modeled just flat out differently, so I decided to start modeling it myself.

Thanks, I'm currently working on the default helmet, Planning on doing all the helmets and Add-ons eventually, even started working on the recon helmet, which I put on hold until I Finish the default armor, and I might start on Air Assault before I come back to It seeing as Air Assault is my main helmet.

Hey, just wanted to say it’s exciting to see someone also trying to recreate Mk 5b from reach for 3d printing. I’ve seen print ready Mk 5b armor that’s based off of halo infinite and it’s very much not the same.

If I may ask, what are you using to do the modeling/touching up? Are you working off of game meshes or doing this from scratch?

I started learning blender just now and have been playing around with meshes and textures from Reach. I’m quickly finding that approach (mostly my lack of knowledge, tbh) to be lacking for the level of crisp detail I’d like to see in printed parts.

I’ll be bookmarking your thread to see what you’re up to next!

Yeah something just is off with the infinite model in terms of details, I do have the game models but I'm mostly using them as a guide not the models themselves mainly for Sub-D purposes. I do plan on doing the female variant as there's literally almost no files for it. and its different from the male variant, rounder thighs thinner chest armor which lacks the pointed pieces on the backpack.

I do plan on making changes to the FJ/Para and default knee pads as in the game they look weird on the male variant because they were designed with the female variant proportions in mind because kat uses them.

Road map for what's next after MK. V B, Is Reach Mk. IV yes in reach Mark IV actually had concept art and dose actually have a design which appears on the menu in the final game Mk IV images attached below

I also plan on making making a Reach Variant of MK.V using the Mk. V B concept art look as a base with the MK V helmet and reshaped shoulder pads from the final game as well as giving it the CE style Backpack and Intakes. Just think when looking at the image of Rosenda her with the Mk. V helmet and slightly thinner shoulder pads from Reach with A CE style and intakes and backpack.
