Molding Question

Hey everybody haven't been on for a while and had a quick question for my next project. Im making a robot costume with a molded helmet and I'm wondering how I can make it have a nice shiny polished look(sorta like the daft punk helmets) and if it depends on what material you use or if it depends on what type of paint you use. Just wondering so please feel free to comment.

Chrome paint. Gold reflective paint. But you cant see out of these.
