About 14 years ago, Halo struck my fancy so much that.i decided to make my own Mark VI Helmet. I took an old motorcycle helmet and pieces off an off-road helmet and chopped them up. Put the pieces together, added a few features to build up the helmet to give it the Spartan appearance. Painted it and put a smoked out faceplate on. This is actually 2.0. I was so excited that I made it that I took it for a ride on the old dirt bike. Needless to say that I wrecked and smashed it. Took me a week or so to put it back together and improve it to what you see now. Not bad for being almost 15. What do you think? Doesn't look like my costume helmet for sure but it fueled a fire which was relit at Comic Con in Altoona. The last picture is that of my homemade helmet next to my costume helmet.
