I'm not in AZ, I'm in Georgia. It's hot. Hot hot hot.
Oh, here's some newer pics.
We put on a test layer of spray paint to see how it looks.
We realized we had to use a LOT of bondo. We made... alot of mistakes. You could even see the fibre glass cloth edges. *tear* But my dad let me use bondo... by myself...
Thanks Doom. I really wanted to cry when i saw what my helmet looked like when I spraypainted it. It looked(looks) ugly. Haha.
I reckon since this is my first try with fibre glass, I shouldn't be TOO upset. I'm doing most of the work anyways. My dad just tells me how to do stuff.
thats the biggest problem i think with alot of people. never give up never surrender. we are spartans ;-) we know not defeat. keep at it. its good for a girl. haha jk. i dont like blue. red is better but, its good.
haha yay im glad to see another Blue Spartan here
im not the only one! haha.
I had come across the idea of using the whole baseball helmet as a base. Then taking pepakura print outs of the helm and transferring them to cardboard. Fold in respective pieces (ex: top helm portion, cheek left, right) and pasting it using fiberglass cloth. so far i haven't had to big of an issue with it.
It is bondo. I had to slop and smooth alot on there.
And thanks for the support guys.
Next on my to-do list, get a boyfriend who will do this for me. Jus kiddin.
Actually. My dad and I are going to REfibre glass it. 'Cause we had (or better, I had to) fix a spot on the helmet where one part of the brim was larger than the other. XD
