my first pep helmet *update*

Wow these pics are great! I was looking for some more detailed closeups for detailing my helmet.
I am building a whole Pep suit for and have the paper folding and gluing 2/3 done. I wanted to start resining this weekend.
I am trying to have a funtional suit for haloween. Wish me luck LOL

It seems to me there are two ways for finishing your suit.
1) the weathered beatup/battle tested look or
2) The nice shinny new/untouched look

Because of lack of time I will probably go for the new look and add some weathering later when I have more time.
Any suggestions for paint colors etc.

hmmm i would either go for the red color that adam has or master chief green
just my opinion though

i totally messed up
i thought i could redo the jaw ad make it better but now its all screwed up. ill post pics later. i think there is still a chance to fix it but im not sure

As a noob I must ask...what the stuff on the outside of the helmet? Resin? Primer? Also, I have no idea what primer does.

saying bondo is kinda like when people talk about kleenex. it's a company name associated with a product.

when you see bondo on these forums it means bondo body filler.

if you are new to the world of bondo i suggest taking a gander at this thread.

well tell me what you think. i added some more detail and sanded it down more. i put primer on it so i can see all the little imperfections that are still in it. its been a while since i was working on this helmet cause i been playing halo 3 haha.

love it, i think the front is a little two wide tho...should be more angled back... other than that, your on your way to having one of the best helms ive seen yet.

Wow. Just wow. Very very nice. You're probably getting really tired of sanding by now. How sturdy is it? Like if you dropped it do you think the bondo would crack off? I was thinking about doing that but after a lot of expierence with bondo i was hesitant because i wasnt sure how sturdy it would be. Looks great, keep up the good work.

What material did u use on the outside? Im trying to go for a less box-ier look aswell...
