okay after seeing tlither's thread about the wal-mart skulls i went out out and bought 4 and heres what i did with on of them

no i used an xacto knife then took a lighter and burnt it
and boy does burning foam stink

so i started on a Black eye skull and for some reason when i try to burn it this time is doesn't turn black :( like this on did
 
Once you cut the bottom jaw off, did you put anything on the exposed foam? These things are mass produced so there will be differences in the foam.

no i haven't put any thing on the exposed foam any suggestions?

Think it was Link I asked. He suggested plasti-dip. It might work fine. Don't know yet - haven't gotten any.

wait a minute i could possibly use some crayola air dry clay its almost the same color as the base skull color

i just colored mine in with a sharpie, i know its kinda cheap, but its a nice stand in for what ever you finally decide, and it doesn't look that bad. I think you can kinda see the spots in this picture, but the lighting is bad, stupid cell phone camera [attachment=6633:10_05_08_1640.jpg] oh, shout out to tlither for the find, sharp eye there bud
