This summer I started a new helmet, on of the halo 4 era. Since the ODST is my favorite I choose the one with the most resemblance to it and before the actual release of the Halo 4 ODST, it was the Recruit helemt. I posted some pictures of my progress in my ODST build and now I decide to put them all together in a tread dedicated to it.

Up to now, this is what I manage to make.

Yesterday, I started to make my visor. I used a visor like the one that we can find on this kind of protective gear. http://www.husqvarna.com/ca/en/cons...on,-boots-and-gloves/helmet-with-large-visor/
I used the same process with my other helmet and it's work quite well. Except this time the visor did not fit inside the helmet so I had to cut it. Unfortunaly I cut to much of it wich result as this.

I tried to fix it with some part that I cut off. While figuring a way to put the back togerther, I kind of destroy the part so I had to glue on that did not fit perfectly. Here is the result.

This little repair will be a problem when I will paint my visor so I'm thinking whether or not I should start a new one. While thinking about it I will continue to fill all the little holes to hopefully obtain a smooth finish.

From what I can tell your helmets coming along really nicely, and you did a good job with the bondo. Can I ask if you're planning to do a whole set of armour, or just the helmet? Either way this is awesome work so far!

Good luck with this, can't wait to see it painted up! :)

Edit: Oh and with the visor, it's up to you but if you could I'd suggest just re-doing it. It'll end up being easier than trying to fix that one up, and in the long run wil look better.

Thanks for your reply.
It's been a long time since I posted something because I'm working on the small detail such as filling the holes with finishing bondo, so there is not a lot to show except my helmet with small red dot everywhere.

And I will follow your advice and do it again. But this time, I will buy a tinted motorcycle visor instead of painting a plexiglass sheet
