My random mix of all foam armour

Well, As I stated in the introduction thread I have been working on this for almost the last week, I think I started Thursday. I started with L3x's Reach torso, Its not so foam friendly, and I didnt notice he had foam friendly better ones, until I was over half done. So i just rushed it all together because I knew I was going to be building better armour after this up coming weekend.
I also made a full foam Recon helmet, which was actually incredibly simple to do with foam.

Here are some pics of my progress... I used silicon caulking to fill in large gaps, works good, flexible and paintable, I used diluted elmers white glue to seal the foam, currently have 1 coat on, gonna go for 2 or 3 in total.

I know the helmet isnt Near game accurate, but I think I like it a bit better then the pep file that I used.

that is a very good looking chest piece you have there! as for the helmet....I think the visor opening is too tall.

I was thinking that about the visor, but I can bearly see out of it as it is, i thought about adding a thin black strip across the top, make it more game accurate, but we will see after i get a visor into it

I had the same idea to use elmer's glue to seal the foam I also used a heat gun to help seal it first. It takes alot less glue that way. looks great.

armor is pretty well complete, total time worked on it was 8 days.... its not accurate, and its not pretty, but its my first round at making stuff and was more just an test run for this halloween bbq today. ill post pics later tonight when im back from the bbq. I didnt finish the shin pads, and im gonna try and rush armbands right now.

I would put the black strip across the bottom instead b/c it would make the top too thick above the visor.

heres the rush complete progress so far, wore it to the bbq. we actually left to goto a couple places in our costumes and people knew it was recon helmet, so overall im not dissapointed. However I will be doing a much better job on my next build.
