Color Time for the Needler!
Soon! The key component for the finish of the Needler is here! Gun Candy (GunCandyOfficial) is hands-down the best way to do Covie weapons. The prismatic powder mixes with clear firearms coating to give a perfect-match iridescent finish that is tougher and glossier than any rattle can job.

Look at the two photos for the color shift. On the top, the powder is purple-pink in direct light. On the right it's rose-gold in indirect light. Just what I need to match the Halo 2 Anniversary Needler I'm building. The name of the color is Viper. One of their other colors, Stingray, is spot-on for the blue Covenant weapons.
In other developments, I have picked up a case for the project. This is a surplus military network server case that I'll chop down by about six inches and add some ONI Xeno-Materials Exploitation Group markings to have damn-near indestructible protection for this prop, but also something to stack around the CON booth to add depth to our look. The pictures show it with the original box for the donor prop.

The Needler build has been dormant for too long. It is at a key stage where all the fiberglassing needs done. That is a big and nasty job that I've been too slow to get into. Coming soon.
