Is there any way to make pepakura without downloading the designer ($38)?

Or is it worth it? For now I just want to make a helmet, not a full suit.

If you want to do a helmet and print it out right then and there you can with the designer, you just cannot save the work without a password.

yes, you just cant alter anything and save it.

pretty much all you do is open the file, take notes of how you're gonna scale your armor, edit however you like, then print.

you only pay if you want to save it. i think there might be more features unlocked in the full version but im not sure

Cool. How long does it take to fold/cut/glue the helmet (no resin/fiberglass)? How hard is it?

its fairly easy with some practice. over time you'll develop techniques that will help you do it faster.
the time it takes is all relative to the complexity of the pep file
