Non Halo Armor?

alright, I am as you can probably tell new to this place, I have not yet finished reading ALL of the stickies, though I am working on it, I have yet to find any other forums that seem to be as good as this one in terms of armor making, especually since you have some incredible talent here that puts big companies to shame, (well not all) And originally, I was actually going to try making a Halo styled armor, mainly the one from halo 3, however, after seeing how many people are/have done so, I looked towards other armor types. After a bit of research, I have found that, to the best of my knowledge, no one has really made a full armor suit as worthy as the one Adam has made (or as close to) for the Metroid series of games. I might get yelled at for posting this here by many halo fans, but I have no loyalties to any one game or company.

In my opinion, the armor that Samus Aran wears resembles the armor that master chief wears, not that they look very close to each other, but by the type of detail involved. So I was thinking that maybe I should ask the pro's (you guys) if at all it is possible to make Samus's Varia suit, and how you would recemmend approaching a suit like that.

BTW, I did consider making a request of the Nightmare armor people, but I currently don't have several thousand dollars to fork over (being only 14, I'd be lucky to scrape together over a hundred bucks, of course if it works out well my parents probably could help) I have several refference pics:

I will try to find more back shots of Samus, possibly I could get some screen shots from metroid prime 3.

One thing in particular I want to achieve if/when I make something like this is electronics incorperated in to the design to make it that much better. Because in order to make the suit look accurate, you need to have the flashing and the lights around the armor. This isn't as big a problem because my dad's profession involves all manner of electronics, so I could probably get that part taken care of.

Many Thanks.

Tastybread who makes notoriously cool cardboard armor is currently building a Samus suit for his girlfriend :)

You can see his pics and such here.

TastyBread is a god of cardboard. :not worthy:

I have decided to leave the samus suit for a later project, I really want to make mjolnir armor as a first.
