here is the link to an instructables about using a heat strip to bend cut-up sheets of ABS plastic to Pepakura layouts and then gluing the joints using a glue made of the ABS cutting dust dissolved in acetone.
This would make for very cool armor and if you get really good with a heat strip (maybe heat gun below) you could even form those curved surfaces that Pep can only simulate with flat joined sections.
afterthought: I wonder if I could make the same kind of bends in ABS with a $10 heat gun from Harbor Freight. If so, I would like to try slyfo's H3 helmet in ABS.
