Planet Comicon Kansas City is the region's largest and longest-running pop culture and comic book convention. Held annually at Bartle Hall, Kansas City’s Downtown Convention Center, Planet Comicon is an awe-inspiring pop culture extravaganza spanning nearly eight football fields and featuring more than 90 celebrity, cosplayer and comic creator guests. PCKC also features a wide range of pop culture merchandise, crafts, art and collectibles from more than 650 vendors, hundreds of hours of programming, an exciting cosplay showcase and a family-friendly interactive activity area called the Planet Entertainment Zone. It’s a galaxy of fun and adventure spread over three days!
The first Planet Comicon was held in 1999 in Overland Park, Kansas, and has grown into an epic extravaganza annually attended by 60,000+ fans from across the country. Planet Comicon features the best in comic books, as well as fantasy, sci fi and superhero television and film.

Photoshoot:
Time: Saturday, March 28th @ 8:30 AM (TIMES MAY CHANGE)
Location: Weather Permitting
Corner of Wyandotte St and W 16th Street across from the Loews Hotel
There looks to be a grassy area here that we could do outdoor photos if the weather is nice.
Indoor Location: Same as last year's photoshoot, directions will be posted closer to event
Be sure to check the Discord thread morning of for news if plans have to change.
Booth Plans:
We will be doing our full activation this year, layout TBD depending on if C2 will need the Longsword walls.
Changing Area:
There will be a cosplay changing area for the guest cosplay groups and individuals. It will be room 2208. This room will be for various cosplay groups, so be respectful of the other groups sharing the space.

Good Evening everyone! We are getting closer and closer to Planet and I for one can’t wait! It’s so good to see our numbers climbing for this con, let’s give C2 a run for their money eh?
Popping in to say that we will be diving headfirst into the gritty details about the con very soon. Planet did post today that they will be having their Halo photoshoot at 5:30 on Friday, March 27th. This is run by the con, not us, but I want to put in a good showing that evening for the organizers. I know we can do it!
Expect to see more and more updates as we get closer to the event, and don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions on anything!

Also. Only because financial stuff is so iffy. Put me down but only for tentative. Until I know I can afford a ticket. If so I'll likely be doing non Halo cosplays, but I want to help at the booth as much as possible!
So set up, take down and a possible long shift one of the days for sure

Hello everyone! Im currently the rookie to all of this. I'm positive I'll be there but not sure if my armor will be ready in time. Fingers crossed that it is. But if not I'd still love to hang out with you guys and be the helping hand for photos and other things if needed.

Good morning and happy Monday! Got some exciting news to share with you all:
First things first, not only have we been confirmed for our booth space, we’ve been upgraded! We’ve gone from a 10x30 to a 20x30 space, which may not seem like a lot, but is perfect for what we’ve got planned in the future for Longsword! That extra 10 feet of depth is going to help a lot.
I’m also pleased to report that we’ve been approved for our “Meet the 405th” panel. It is set for Saturday afternoon from 3:30 to 4:30. We’re hoping to mix things up this year as this panel can get a bit wordy, so make sure to tune in.
Lastly, we have another VA attending the con! Mr Voice of God himself, Jeff Steitzer will be attending Planet for all three days! I’m hopeful we can organize a little get together with some folks in armor as he’s always enjoyed seeing us at events!
I would like to schedule one more meeting in the coming weeks, just to go over the layout and expectations with the booth, tentatively putting that for next Wednesday but we can be flexible if need be.
The more I hear about what’s in store this year, the more excited I get! I can’t wait to get this show goin!
