In my english class we made these masks with plaster. The masks turned out pretty sturdy with 2 layers of plaster sheet netting stuff. What we used was like dried plaster on these nets used for house-making and we would have our classmates put layers of it on our faces to make masks. i dont know, this could be another alternative to making sturdy pepakura armor. It's almost summer, I only have 2 more days of school then i can fully start my armor project. a few people of heard me say i was gonna make my own recon armor (which i haven't by the way, sorry) but i kind of got caught up with school and stuff... i think i might just make standered Mark VI. my method will work just like the resin fiberglass one but maybe for younger spartans it will be easier to make. thx, peace. EDIT: we wet the plaster stuff then applied to our faces
Edit 2: Use pepakura files as the base. Use cardstock because computer paper will die. Its just like resining and stuff Edit 3: im making a video with the mask. i dont think im describing it properly Edit 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYu58A-fUVE...yer_profilepage yes the mask looks stupid but thats not the point. The cracked parts were thin layered areas.
