"They found him dead in the middle of the desert with two bullet wounds and motor oil in his stomach. Do you know anything about that?"

Loved that part. :p

Anyway, I personally liked the movie. I heard some people say it was just ok, but I still enjoyed it. The story was a little complex though.

I wish in the film description it had actually said "To understand this you should watch Casino Royale first"

I went to see it not understanding ANY of it. Not even my dad got it. Then we found out you need to see Casino Royale...

Too much action in my opinion. either that, or they take the "Shakey Camera Effect" waay to far.

I thought it was great, I was glad I watched Casino Royal the night before, it would get a little confusing if you hadn't seen it before. in Casino Royal, at the end he says "Mr. White we need to talk" and in the beginning of Quantum of Solace they start with a scene right after that. Like they were both one movie. Quantum was Awesome I'd give it 9 1/2 out of 10.

My favorite hands down, just love the non stop action, plus it made the box office records form many countries like Switzerland.

call me old fashioned but i much perfer the earlier stuff to this. Ever since pierce brosnan took up bond's mantle, theres been a gradual shift away from the gadgets, suaveness, and sophistications that make james bond who he is (or was in this case).

IMO daniel craig has taken the role and turned bond into a brutish thug, much like he was originally portrayed in the casino royale novel. despite that he's doing a good job portraying this, after 20 sum odd films its a bit late to change bond's entire psyche.

the movie itself was ok, but it felt like too much of a generic action/ spy thriller.

I'm with you there.
I want all the crazy gadgets back.

I liked Casino Royal better, but this was still an awesome movie. I'm a fan of the classics as well, and with that said, I hope they add more gadgets in the later movies. But I really like the direction the new films are going.

I havent seen most of the new bonds (brosnan- the new guy), i love the older bonds. Roger Moore and Sean connery are my favs. Timothy dalton was by FAR the worst bond ever!!!!!

I really enjoyed it, but yes Casino Royale was far better. Not a bad sequel though. Could have been a lot better, but it could also have been SOOOOOO much worse.

The only real problem I had with it was that it was just one chase/fight scene after another there at the beginning. It got old quick. The producers are so obsessed with delivering another Jason Bourne, they don't acknowledge who Bond is.

But hey, at least we didn't have James Bond hiding behind an 'invisible' car this time. :rolleyes

you have a point there about the invisible car.. There really needs to be a balance between not having gadgets at all and having completely outlandish things. The older ones were at least believable.

and on a personal note, screw the invisible car, i'd rather have an electromagnet watch that could unzip women's dresses :D
