Hi, im new to these forums and have been interested in RL Halo armor for quite a while, i was wondering if anyone has done this by machine. Like you know how they have those machines that they use to carve custom rims out of steel? Has anyone done this with halo armor yet? I was thinking about starting off with Pep, because Im afraid that if i try to sculpt, the clay would dry before the helmet was perfect and or it would come out un-proportionate, etc, etc. I know that to make a rim like this you start with a 3d image on a computer and then the machine does the cutting for you, has anyone done this or heard of this with halo armor? It would kick ass to make halo armor out of steel or other hard materials, probably as real as you can get at this point.

For clay sculptors uses Oil clay or Wet Clay (It's water clay but really cheap).

For metal, it would be really hard but someone tryied once (Forgot his name)

It probably could be done out of metal, but it would weigh a ton once you finished. Plus then u have to watch out for sharp edges too. Some people have used metal in their iron man masks over in general, so look there for some help too. :D
