Hi guys so im very new to prop making and this is my first ever attempt at something like this. I got inspiration from looking at a thread by I2aMpAnTon this forum and thought I would give it a try. I decided to do my multiplayer colors as the chief colours have been done way too much and I want it to be a little more unique. I have two ender 3's and so far I have printed the helmet and painted it about 95%. I am just waiting for my visor to arrive which I ordered from ETSY.

Looks rather spiffy! Definitely get yourself an electric sander like an orbital sander or a mouse sander to save your poor hands from sanding haha
Funny tou say that, my mate just gave me a hand sander but its so bloody loud and hard to use I might have to look at buying a better one.

I've got a cheapo harbor freight one. Trick is just to go outside, put in some earbuds/headphones and go ham haha

That's a really solid print! Great work! Also nice color choice, go red!

got the front half of the torso printed now I'm on to the back half

Dang that was fast and the prints look great!

The best advice I can give (based on lessons I learned the hard way) is to make sure you use good adhesive to glue these components together and then reinforce the back to make the seams as strong as possible

Hard way - MrJamin's 3D Printed MK VI Master Chief

I've printed MoeSizzlac's entire suit and I will gladly share anything I have learned from doing it if you have any questions.

I've also modeled two extra detail pieces for the suit if you have any interest - (Files linked in the thread starting here MrJamin's 3D Printed MK VI Master Chief)

Hey man I appreciate you offering your help :)

So I use super glue to get the parts into position then I used 2 part epoxy and fiberglass to reinforce the seems which should hold it nicely. Ill check out your additional parts and see if I can use them :)

So jealous of your two printers. I've really had the itch to get a second one lately to be able to crank prints out faster.

Dude having two printer is 100% the way forward. I got my second printer after having my first printer for a month because I knew that having one would really drag. They are so affordable now and if my wife would let me buy more I would lol.
