reinforcing pep stuff

You can use cardboard to reinforce paper pep when you need to resin it but I was wondering how you reinforce it. Is it like a layer of cardboard on the inside or what? a pic would be most useful. I'm a very visual person. If someone told me they saw a blue duck I would have trouble picturing anything that isnt a cartoon duck. So please picture.

I know there are several people who have made their costumes entirely out of cardboard, but I dont think anyone has tried reinforcing pepekura with cardboard from the inside. Sounds like it could work though. Maybe just try to cut the general shapes out and then epoxy/glue them in.
