the rerebraces are usually the parts that go between the shoulder and elbow, some call them biceps. In the hub they are the lower part of the shoulder pieces, If you are doing a standard Mark VI, then no you don't need them. if you are doing a Permutation, example recon, there are parts that replace the upper shoulder pieces. It make it simpler to not make the upper part if you are doing a Permutation.
