I "black washed" my helmet a little too much and it turned maroon. Gave it another blast of metallic red

Your armor looks like Vacuum Form plastic. Is it?

Indeed it is! Well most of it :p
Very Cool. Outside of my Mark V and the old Richie's Armor Mark VI kit, and maybe the Rubies Supreme Chief, you never really see vacuum form plastic kits.

Did you sculpt your own Bucks? I used my reinforced and filled in fiberglass pepakura parts as my bucks for my suit.

Your Mark V is vacuum formed? That's amazing! I hope to make a full vacuum formed Mark V armor from CEA eventually, depends if Halo Infinite has something that steals my attention (a full Mark V gen 3 variant???) :p

So for the Mark VI suit, some masters were made from scratch, some using rubies' pieces as a base to build the master off of (masters have been destroyed for obvious reasons, so screwing up isn't an option!). I originally had no plans to go this route, but then Halo Outpost became a thing and there was just no way I could make the Mark V in time. After going through this build, I'm definitely a vac form armor fan, I just find it more exciting and manageable than foam and especially fiberglassing

My thread is from 2011, so, about two versions of the Forum ago, so most of the pictures are gone, but:

Here are some on FB:

I actually still do have all my bucks/masters in a storage tote, I just don't have access to a Vac table anymore.
