Rocketdock

Hey everyone! This message is mainly for people with a PC supporting XP or Vista because Mac people already have the feature this program is for. So for anyone that loves the bar on the desktop of Macs for easy access to their programs/links, then this is the program for you.



The bar I am talking about looks like this:

The one at the bottom of the screen.



There is a program called Rocketdock which applies this same system to PC's. It's very easy to use, you can personalize to fit your desktop and there are a lot of add-ons including clock features, battery life viewer, etc... Here is the site, hope people find it useful!

I've been using it now for a year now. I used to use Objectdock but when I found out that it doesn't work with Vista that came with my laptop, I tried Rocketdock and haven't looked back since. And yes, it's very intuitive. I configured mine to be on top of the desktop and autohides until you move the cursor to the top area to make the dock re-appear.

Heard about it, but I don't think anything's better than the classic desktop.

been useing this for years... clears the program icons off my desktop and works as a nice shortcut rather than looking through the start menu always. never install a new os without one!
