Shaving Incidents

I've had facial hair since I was 14 and a beard since I was 16. It helps to cut down razor burn and funny bumps on the awkward areas to shave. All I have to do to keep it lookin' good is shave my cheeks and my neck. The rest can be trimmed with a pair of scissors and a trimmer.

blade razors are the only way to go, only real men use blades!!

i hate shaving rashes so i do tend to (ahem) use moisturisers, shaving balms and conditioners, skin scrub and everything

i use that fusion razor when i cut my beard, but i have been using the same blade for a while now....so its kinda dull and i have to go over the thick spots a few times to get them. It still cuts close, plus i do it in the shower, everything except my goatee.

PROTIP: Use astringent or something after you shave. Feels good man.

I use a gillette fusion too, but the blades dull too fast, or maybe it's my brother :cautious:
He took all of my extra blades >_<
I started shaving a year ago, a little more than a year, just shaving my mustache, and my wannabe goatee, I got a knick somehow when shaving my mustache, I didn't enjoy it (yeah, I'm a hairy young mexican)

Same thing happened to me.

I am also an electric man.

Im too lazy to shave, so i only do it like once every 3 months. Ill just use some clippers to keep it nice and clean looking. Im telling you, faicial hair is the way to go. Its so much eaiser and chicks usually dig it too ;)

And the list of reasons for why I love being a girl just keeps growing :) Okay, so shaving your legs isn't any fun either, but I feel like it's a lot better to cut your legs than your face, haha. However, my boyfriend has a goatee and I love it. I'm not a fan of full beards or just mustaches. Goatees are definitely hot!

Sad face...

Men with a Womans touch..... hmmmmm..... I have a new idea.

the only problem i have is the hair pulling when you shave the neck area, I have to hold back the tears so i can seem manly

yeah... so i remember when i was at a competition and I shaved my legs in the hotel room with one of those cheap razors you can ask them for.. so i def. Shaved off some skin.. and had to have a giant gauze pad and my leg wrapped up, after of course bleeding all over their white towels while i walked to the lobby to ask for a first aid kit

that was a fun time to be sure

Well, I guess I might as well recount my own shaving incident. Happened years ago. Not particularly funny, either.

Back when I was still living at home (this would make it at least ten years ago, now), I used to go with one of the regular straight-edge razors, and when I say "straight-edge" I don't mean one of those old-fashioned flip blade razors, but the modern-day style.

Anyway, it just so happens the day this occured was the very first day I'd ever tried using shaving gel. Up to that point I just put the razor to my face. Sure, after I'd be done my face would be rather noticeably irritated (that aftershave hurt like a b****), but I didn't had a problem with that. I'd just splash some cold water on my face afterward. Finally, someone convinced me to try shaving gel.

So, I applied a layer of it to my face and began shaving. I hadn't gotten into it too far when the razor slipped on the shaving gel and slid off the right corner of my jaw at an angle. I felt a sudden stab of pain, then noticed the large splatter of blood on the side of my face.

I'd cut off the corner of my jaw; the piece measured about a centimetre thick by three centimetres long.

Let me tell you, that shaving gel stung like hell in the wound. Anyway, I quickly dropped the razor in the sink, grabbed a towel and wiped off the rest of the gel, then washed my face clean, put some peroxide on the wound to disinfect it (I was jumping around the bathroom for a bit after that) and put some gauze over it to stem the blood flow.

And there you have it. That's my shaving incident. Kinda messy, and really painful. Haven't gone back to a straight-edge since. Use only an electric shaver. Although, I am seriously considering going back to the former, as I find an electric razor just doesn't me as clean of a shave as I'd like.

Then when u use good shaving-blade you cant make any dmg to self:D

i once let my gf shave my face. seemed like a good idea at the time but i ended up looking like freddie from nightmare on elm street. lol

OMG, dude! I'd never let anyone, girlfriend or not, shave my face. I mean, it's not thier face, so they don't know how best to shave it. Not only that, but that can result in what happened to you :p lol
