Hi everyone, (this is my first post so tell me if I'm doing anything wrong :D) I'd like to show off my foam build of the silenced pistol from ODST.
I used a cardboard sliced file (found here: http://www.405th.com/showthread.php... : D Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

You'll what to get your hands on plasti-dip or any other equivalent brand (this thread should help you [h=1]Rubberized Rocker Guard[/h])

I chose to paint my SOCOM using acrylics but spray paint would be better as you don't see all the brush strokes

Yeah, I think spray paint would be ideal. I'm annoyingly indecisive however so I'll probably spend a good few months assessing which paints to buy xD

Okay so, as predicted, its been about 4 months but I made some progress today and... Failed horrifically.
My first attempt at plastidip went less than well :(

As you can see on that second photo, one side is covered in bubbles. I'm hoping I'll be able to peel the plastidip from that side, or just glue it face down to my thigh armour :D

Peeling PlastiDip off of foam sometimes works well. If it's craft foam underneath, I wish you the best of luck and that the bubbles are a sign of it not adhering properly and that it'll peel right off without taking any foam with it.

Was there rain/mist/moisture in the air where you were spraying to cause the bubbling?

Thanks, I'm praying I can fix it xD
Also It was pretty cold, maybe frosty/damp. It doesn't explain why one side went well and the other didn't however, maybe I applied it too thick...

I'd guess it was the cold.

When I did my SOCOM I tied it by the handle and hung it underneath a camera tripod that could be quickly sprayed outside under cover and then moved inside to cure and avoid chance of rain/cold. It might be something that you can rig together to help out in round two.
