Hi. Just thought I'd show anyone who cares my progress with my first build. I chose an ODST build to ease into the whole process. So far, I've only got a few pieces or armor, and a plasma grenade.

Left gauntlet:

Those were done with painters tape to hold it together, and i started to coat the whole thing in a layer of tape. Then, I discovered the life-saver and wonder of hot glue.

So there you have it. I'm currently working on the center chest peice, then the torso afterwards. Any tips, tricks, or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What was the orange stuff coming out of the plasma grenade... is it detonating prematurely

haha no, that would be too cool for a pep nade. its just orange glue. i had multiple colored gluesticks for a while, but finally bought some clear ones.

great job! beating me in my odst build! i guess glue sticks and tape is better than glue but im ahead of ya on the helmet part! bout a cast from morphan jar should probably start a wip thread for my odst

haha hell yeah fox. the hot glue has literally saved my sanity. definitely start a wip thread, its good to see other peoples stuff so you can compare. In my case, compare and despair over the poorness of my own stuff. XD lol

just an update for those who care, i've pretty much just built the other forearm, re-did the shoulder (with a hinge). so now its at least symmetrical. Tried making a torso, and am working on a helmet. if anyone has any sizing tips, that'd be greatly appreciated. I checked out the sticky for sizing, but the formula on the first page only applies to certain files, so i'm stuck guestimating for now.
