FANGS for the Globetrotters games what all is expected? Will we be meeting with a representative that will tell us what we should be doing etc "our role" it goes without saying members are to be in armor, no weapons either real or props and everyone is to be well mannored and courteous to everyone they meet.

We have WiskTangFoxt heading to the 2 shows in Anaheim this weekend so I'll get some information from him once he's done as to how that went to give you guys a better sense of what happens as well.

And yes, serenko3 is 100% correct - be in your Halo armor, make sure it's in good repair, make sure you are professional in your dealings with the organizers and the public, NO TEABAGGING and no weapons (real or props) and be sure to watch your language.

Does the no weapon policy include obviously fake items such as plasma pistols and energy swords?

Yes......no weapons means no weapons of any kind real or prop........These are events that don't expect prop weapons and we should keep it like that.

He did mention that energy swords are okay because they look nothing like an actual weapon nor does it look like something that could possibly fire any sort of projectile, but everything else is out. And there is some potential that the facility itself may not allow the sword either.

We have to remember that this is not a closed event like a con is. This is a basketball "game" or show/performance, that the same company runs that they are using as an opportunity to get the word out about HOD. So everything goes by the facilities rules, which would mean no prop weapons. It's best just to leave all of them at home. Don't even have them in your kit. I've been to things like this were we had to have security got through everything before letting us in. Please be prepared and cooperative should that happen.

Roger that, I will keep the sword in my car! Luckily my (prop) knife fell off the chestplate so all good there lol. If anything I will double check with everything prior to bringing anything into the arena center

For the Globetrotters Games, I will not be attending. My post about attending was for Outpost Discovery only as I thought that was what Fangs was referring to. Missed the post about the Globetrotter event, maybe we shouldn't have had these in the same thread as I got confused lol

POST HGC Tournament: Atlantic City NJ Showboat Hotel

Lovely location. Recently reopened for conventions only. Casino portion was still not in use. But none the less, an interesting location. Not being able to attend the full weekend, I arrive Sunday morning and helped serenko3 and the Mrs. set up the table.

They were too short to reach up there w/o a ladder.......Yay the vertically endowed me!!!!!

And I even brought some of my stickers to give out. Yay me!!!

Food vouches were give and we enjoyed a quick breakfast in the Gamer's Lounge. Much to our surprise they set up a dinosaur in the corner of the room......An Atari 2600!!!!!! W/ a 26-bit HALO game already installed!!!

Suffice to say that I sucked at this game as much as I suck in the modern versions as well.......Yay me!!! But i digress.....

We met a whole bunch of tangent minded people there......Tangent? Yes......Tangent. Not exactly HALO Cosplayers or gamers, but HALO minded individuals. One team was extolling the virtues of nutrition and body maintenance to those of a gamer's mindset. Their product was to keep a gamer's body in a better state that that of just gaming and not exercising at all. Their notion is that if a gamer's body is in better condition, he/she could continue to play not just for longer periods of hours at a time, but the longevity of a players overall career could be increased.

Samples were given out, giveaway mixing bottles used, and some protein bars were eaten.......Stay away from the green stuff, it tastes like grass, and not in a good way.....Yay serenko3!!!! He liked it though.

We obviously had gaming going on......There were several rooms set up but by the time I had gotten there only the main room was being used. Sorry for the sideways view....I'll do better next time. Technosaurs powers activate!!!....Yay me!!!! EDIT***So the file it too large and I can't post it.....Yay me!!!!

Probably have to wait for serenko3 and wife to get home......(Long day and long drive home)....and of course a big thank you.....HUGE THANK YOU even, to MepeS11, for all of her dedicated work, endless picture taking and nonstop looking out for us while we patrolled the corridors for more people to educate about the 405th. Hello everyone, I have been trying to keep this under wraps until I had all the information. I have us, along with UNSC Capital attending and managing a CO-OP booth or photo op area. We should also be doing an on stage escort of Steve Downes and Keith David aka "Master Chief and Arbiter" Once the convention runner gives me more information I will let it be known. For those that haven't purchased a ticket, wait as I will eventually be recieving a code for us to receive a discount.

Ok Colonial I have some good news for you all! I recieved word back, that I successfully have our regiment signed up for the 2020 Johnstown Reverse Halloween parade.
DATE: Sunday October 25th at 5pm - 8pm
3pm set up time
WHERE: Johnstown, Pennsylvania outside of the Galleria Mall in Richland Township

What this entails is that we will have a 20 x 20 or 40 x 40 area to decorate and stand in while parade attendees will drive by us. This is a globally streamed and televised event.

We will all be taking proper pandemic precautions. So if you can self quarantine prior to the event I urge you to do so. We will also be wearing masks when buckets are off and we are in close proximity of eachother and I will have sanitizer on hand. I think this an extremely cool way for us all to gather this year and even if you don't have a costume, don't worry because we can always use handlers and banner/flag holders.

Please let me know if you are interested in attending asap so we can get a roster made up for the broadcasting company that's sponsoring the reverse parade.

If you are outside of Colonial and still wish to attend, you are more than welcome to join us.
