Steel Armor

in the next following weeks i might be have the resorses to build a steel eod or scout or whatever suit, it would be awsome.
I would have the abillity to get hi-quall steel, welders, and a lot of outher things to constroct this armor.
i was wondering if this would be a good idea. i know your going to say its going to be heavy. but i can get light weight steel.
yaa. iam up to any comments on what i sould do and any recemendations on how to do it. (my dad is a master crafts men and
he also knows a lot about this ,but this could stiil help.) yaa thanks.

Do you know what type of metal your going to use? Also, there are many methods to fix up metal work, depending on the problem.

at this point all i know is that i can get my hands on light waight steel. i would be able to do this on weekneds too.

from what iav herd form my dad. is that i will have all the tools to do it. but a lot of edges, curves, and small picec are realy hard to cut and shape. i might just print thefolds out on paper and get the ink on the steel. the cut the picec with a lazor cutter. then bend them or just do it all by and an eye.

If you're already a welder and fabricator, I'd say go with it. If you're intending on learning all these skills just for this project, I think there are easier ways to get the same effect.

I like the idea... I've worked with aluminum sheeting before and it is a pain in the arse, so be ready for this to be a labor of love...

If you have all of the tools to do this, and your dad is a master craftsman .. you have a huge advantage.

Metal brake, and an English Wheel would really make the metal take shape and come alive - but youre working on a small scale. If you can TIG weld that is the way to go, but MIG works great also. Laser cutter .. make things very very nice.
