Hello everyone. As you may, or may not, have heard or seen, the Midwest Regiment now has a Tiktok Channel. With this new reach in social media, comes new ideas and ways to expand our reach to larger crowds. Fallen, has honored me with being in charge of the Tiktok account and videos there within. I have plans in the works to help expand the channel in multiple directions with featuring members all across our regiment and battalions, events that we are going to attend, and fun little skits. With all of that I may be reaching out to you folks every now and then for either pictures or small videos you have to help.
I have already soft launched two videos on the channel (if you haven't seen them please check them out, they aren't anything super special but gets some ground work moving) highlighting two of the larger events we will be attending in March, C2E2 and Planet Comic Con KC. The videos are set as “foots in the door” so to speak to get the algorithm pumping and moving us out to viewers. From there I will be putting together a short video, in multiple parts, that will describe who we are and what we do. I will also be trying to throw in some flare items that help grab attention and work with current acceptable trends. All of course staying within rules and guidelines of the 405th as a whole.
Video Posting…
So with this videos, some will take time and some will be quick. Depending on how long something takes me to edit and post, I will be shooting to post some kind of video every Tuesday and Friday. Be it small 10 to 15 second videos highlighting members, halo related stuff, or something a little more informative into our community. But… I wont be leaving this all on myself, I will be happy to take in ideas and small skits any of you full members have made and post them as well. As long as the video is appropriate and stays with guidelines of the Mantle then we will happy to look at it. If you have any ideas you would like to share with me, please do not hesitate to reach out on this thread. That way we can keep the ball rolling and add on to ideas and ultimately all make something together. Again though, keep it clean and with the rules of the 405th.
My Upcoming Ideas…
As stated above, there are two small videos already up highlighting two of the big events the Midwest will be attending. Between now and those times I do have a few things lined up that I am wanting to achieve.
Those are my 4 main ideas I would like to achieve between now and the end of c2e2. After which, things will still roll with member highlights, upcoming events, and funny skits.
Id also like to have videos of suit ups from members, showing the process of suiting up in their armor. So if you all would like to submit me some of your videos doing that, we can do that now too. Now in cases where you don’t want your face to be seen (ie. @spartan052) please let me know ahead of time and I will take care of it. If you are aware of trends that you would like to submit to me, please do not hesitate to do so. I would like to get everyone involved that would like to be and the more the merrier. Any ideas you submit to me and we use, you will get credit in said video via tag or mention for sure.
Things may move a little slow at first since this is new territory for us, but I think this avenue will open us up more and expand our audience.

- “look for these cosplayers” – I have already reached out on discord in the battalions and regiment channel that I need photos of people attending. Between now and the end of c2e2 and planet, Ill be posting small videos featuring 3-5 photos of members attending those cons. This way people can keep an eye out for those people. Some of you have already sent me some good stuff.
- “we are the 405th” – a short 20-30sec video explaining what we are and what we do, including photos of active members from across the globe. Using some sick tunes to pull in people. If anyone has small videos and photos now that they would like to submit now to help get things rolling, please send them to me on discord.
- “What is the Regiment” – a short video showing how the 405th is separated up into regiments. Showcasing us of course. I've had a line stuck in my head for weeks… (1940 radio personality voice) “Do you like cosplay, do you like Halo, do you have a weird fascination with Corn? Then have I got the thing for you! The 405th’s Midwest Regiment, came for the cosplay, stayed for corn.” Of course being more serious is fine too, just an idea I have with it. Let me know you thoughts
- “Regiment Leadership” – a small showcase video of our Regiment officers and their proud work. This may also be separated up into 3 smaller videos, to give each person their own video.
- This will also gradually happen with each Battalion, similar to the instagram highlights. But that will come slowly.
