Wow. I just read 33 pages of the development of the UNSC-405th.. Whew! :whoa:

I'm all for this. The concept really seems to be an extension of this site, taking the skills and armor that we have learned to make and putting it to good use. It also gives us an official face, to be more professional and organized in the grander scale of the Halo community.

So I can offer up my abilities and connections for whatever they are useful. I'm a fair to decent writer... I have my Art Ed and Fine Art degrees. I've taught fine art and moldmaking at the college level. My wife runs a screen printing and embroidery shop.. What should I focus on: PA division? Armory? Reference or tutorials master?

My biggest problem at this point is that I'm very short on time. I work full-time, I'm totally backed up on orders, and other work I do for local businesses.. I have a feeling that this is going to be a serious comittment and require a good bit of time to devote to organizational stuff.

I guess I just want to know how I can help, and leave it up to you guys. I've dropped in here a little late, just because I've got little time to spare these days.. and I knew it would take a while to get up and running.

So What can I do for the 405th? :Steve:

Well how about you review what we're doing and give us feedback? I'd love your insight on tutorials if given the chance. Maybe you could be in charge of keeping stuff organized? Something simple? Unless Adam or Link or Red think otherwise :lindsey:

okay about the logo ,keep the logo all black still, and make the baner dark dark red and the text black too, oh, and the inf. mabey the same color as the banner, remember about the green armor and the green earth, but then there's the red baner which may not show up on red armor, we should make the baner a darker tone than anyone would have for their armor.

i like this, but how are we going to sew this on our armor?

it dosent have to be a sew on patch, they make those ones where you peal off the pastic and it sticks there and never comes off, oh and you could put the patch on your undersuite we might have vinal stickers for your armor

Don't make it anything other than sew on patch.

The reason being, if you ever need to remove the patch from your undersuit...armor if it's vinyl stick on, it doesn't come off nicely.

Either rip the undersuit, or rip the paint off the armor..

The sew on patches, you take them to a seamstress or tailor and ask them to sew them onto your undersuit, because at least you can rip out the threads around the logo to take it off.
