I believe staying organized is vital, and with cons there are so many things we need to make sure to pack in, pack out, pack up, and move around, things get complicated quickly.
What better way to stay organized than lists? and what better way to keep you lists organized than CLIPBOARDS!
but not just any clipboard can do for our illustrious division, nothing but a official UNSC clipboard for us!
Using a XTool laser engraver I laid out a nice UNSC logo, and then got our official logo to tag the bottom, I started at 80% power and 80mm/s.
The engraver I used has an air pump that is supposed to prevent smoky edges but it still left the residue. So for the next run I dropped the power to 60% which resulted in a lighter (slightly) burn but still the smoke residue.
Then I remembered that I could sand it
Quick pass with 220 grit orbital sander and the smoky edges dissipated totally, leaving crisp clean edges.
later in the day when I held it up to the light and noticed that the shadow made it look *awesome*
I'm gonna bring a few of these bad boys to every event I go to now and hand them to anyone who wants one, they were cheap and easy to make.
I will drop the files I used when I get my hands on them (they are at work, I am home)
