Hey guys long time since i stopped by here, long long time, anyways im working on a Tilt Rotor Helicopter, kinda will be something like SA 2 Samson/ UNSC Falcon, its gonna cost $25K - and once its done i would like to bring it to a cosplay area, few questions for you guys, would anyone be interested in (while your doing next march/parade) riding on it in your costume? and anyone know the laws for a low buzz sort of show? i think it will be ok since my helicopter is much safer then a traditional one. Also when the website is created to support "Pearce Avionics" i will post pictures and a link between 405th if you guys are interested in a dual publicity thing. Also last thing, (no im not trying to pander or anything, at least not like im poor it will just take for ever for me to come up with total sum) once website is up their will be a Thank You page to all those who have contributed to getting Pearce Avionics off the ground. currently on the company level at a $5K-$10K or more level Companys or individuals will have their name Decalled on the side of chopper for the first while, as well as during Air shows a Sign will be set up that will say "This Project and Companys Bases could not have been created with out the Support of X" as well this will be posted on the website with links to their websites and during anytime the chopper is involved in a public event I.E News cameras and such, all Sponsers shall be mentioned and or have their/Company name & or Logo visible. again would love to see some support for the chopper im hoping to have it built before March 2014. all Support is appreaciated and if no one wants to help thats cool too. let me know if you guys would be interested in having my bird present for a CON event and once built i will fly down to do the event with you guys (If weather/work/life allows, which it probably will) Thanks so much guys hope for only Positive replys.

I think... unless you're an incredibly adapt engineer, and have some massive wealth of experience in modifying aircraft, then you may be in a tad bit over your head.
Aircraft modifications, even slight, are no small feat of engineering. The aerodynamics of the aircraft are extremely fragile, and any modification to them must then be adjusted in instruments and computers (if there are any). Keep in mind that for a jet, even the paint is applied in specific quantities to guarantee consistency in weight.
Not to mention the fact that the FAA has to approve all modifications, and it must pass a test for air worthiness.
Now, that being said, it's not impossible to do what you say, but with an estimated budget of $25,000? You may do better to be looking into the 6 digit realm. Sure you could buy a helicopter and make it LOOK like a Falcon, that would be fairly simple, and would still look amazing, but then getting it into the air, or even being allowed to legally do so, is a whole other ball game. The FAA lists its regulations for modification here, and it's a hell of a read.
Now if you're still totally serious about all of this, then I say good luck to you, and God speed, and I surely hope you prove me wrong in all of this! I'd love to see a fully functioning Falcon replica. I just don't believe it's possible.

I would also add that if you are expecting pledges in the thousands of dollars for support, then some credentials may be in order. Perhaps past works of a similar nature? Qualifications that you have that would make this possible? Pictures of what you've made, or plans for what you intend to?

Edit: I didn't realize you said 'tilt rotor helicopter'. Those things are, at the very least, in the millions of dollars for a purchase. I'm not entirely sure what you're going for with this, but I'm not buying it. Unless it's a miniature replica.
