Warhammer Emperor WIP

Well where to start with this topic, I was one of the first few people to introduce Warhammer Pepakura files into the 405th and into other communities and now I have decided to start my own little project, this won't be pepakura though. Right now I am in the middle of having the base parts CNC'ed out of wood which will be running around 1k to have that done, then I will be placing clay onto the wood base and scuplting the fine details into the armor.Next I'll make a mold and cast the armor parts. Now for the parts I'm going to need help on this will have a ton of detail and I'll need help knowing what kind of clay I can use it will have to be something that will hold to the clay I don't want it falling off, second I would like to know what kind of Smooth-On rubber I should use as a mold, and finally should I go with Flex-Foam It or should I go with Smoothcast, if I go with one or the other what would be the best type of material to use, I would prefer to go with Flex Foam so I can sit down if I have to but if it should look realistic I would like to go with Smoothcast. Any help here with this would be appreciated and once I have the wood parts back from the CNC shop and sanded down the pictures will begin. For those who do not know what the Emperor looks like he is the guy in the gold armor standing on the right.

This is going to be an insane project! The emperor's armor is probably one of the most intricate armor that I have ever seen. Here's another view of his armor:

Thanks for the image if you can find one of him from the backside that will help me out greatly, the claw is currently being modeled by Rhinoc which it will be the only thing that will be made out of paper then molded as well. As for his sword I'm planning to have the hilt done by CNC the blade though will be clear plastic with LEDs down the center so it will glow.

this may be the most awesome project i have seen to date, ill pour through all my pics to see if i still have my 360 degree of the emperor, if i do i will email it to you or post here, since im a dedicated blood angel i have been kicking around the idea of putting together a set of sanguinius armour, i just dont wanna screw it up, im bookmarking this thread so i cna follow your progress, good luck, and remember, "emperor prtoects"

That's going to be a bit difficult because of the cape that he wears. It appears though that he doesn't wear a backpack like other space marines. Anyway, here's a few that I found:

Thanks Ral those images will help me a lot with getting everything pretty exact you're right there's not a backpack the Eagle that is on the back is sitting on the back of the armor, almost like how you see a lot of Space Marines that have a flagpole with a banner on the back of thier armor.I'll be giving him a custom helmet because I don't think he has one, but this will be fully complete in time for D*C 2011 I'll probably be fully done by March.
