i mostly use rolls, since it's easier and cheaper for me to get them, the city where i live (guadalajara, mexico) has a lot of footwear manufacturing factories , which means materials, such as EVA foam, are all over the place
the main reason i prefer purchasing rolls, is because i have the option to choose between various thicknesses and densities (depending on what i'm building at the time)
and on foam rolls, i hace more space to lay down templates or build bigger pieces than with the puzzle mats
