How many of you have tried Aqua Resin? For those who don't know, Aquaresin is like a smooth on product, but is less harmful and toxic. But you can use it to make armor parts. Roll Call!

I dont yet. But after all the good things i keep hearing about it i might just go ahead and try it! :)

I have heard a lot about it, but I would like to know myslef if it's about the same cost as fiberglass resin or if it's more or less expensive to buy and where a good place to buy it from is?

They have some pdf file on their site that says something about cost. it said the (example) cost of a common resin product is $10 but the labor is much more. and theirs is $15 but there is less labor. So i'm guessing it is a bit more pricey. They also had a distributors link that shows their sites, so you can find the cost there :)

It costs more, but working with both types of resin, aqua resin can be used all year round, it hardens in 15-30 mins depending on the amount of powder(s3) used, and its easier to sand. Its durability is very good I made a prop sword a year ago with it, someone dropped it and the only damage was some paint chipping off. Just have to get around to ordering more.

I used it once. probably wont use it again, for me it did not work to well, and it is VERY expensive, but i would rather use it because of the non- toxic affect it has. great idea though

just a quick question, how much would a trial kit make armor wise, and how many would i need to get? (spartan)

A helmet, and the amount you would need to get depends on how much you use, but you would probably be better off buying the next size up of "L" liquid and "S3" powder after the trial kit.
