Thanks for the tips guys. Yup, going to do the entire costume.
@Snilton: I was playing it some today and wondering if you could get me a few more models, specifically the vending machines, thought it would be neat to have some mini ones on the work desk Also, if you could just get me a model of a "clipper" pistol that would be greatly appreciated as well.
Wow man, that's really awesome. I see in your profile picture that you made the phsyco mask. My friend asked me to make him the phsyco mask. I'm doing it the clay and mold way. How did you make yours?

My psycho mask was done entirely with paper mache. I did it just for the heck of it a day before halloween so it's not really the best but I was (and still am) happy with it. I plan on doing another psycho mask with Sniltons pep files in the future though.

I went on the search for some guns to mod today and came across these at the local dollar store. Not bad at only $10.00 and the chamber actually slides a bit on the pistol:
I started by drawing out the shape of the blade I wanted on a piece of foam sheet and cutting it out:
Next I separated the design into parts:
Once I got the base cut out I also made a piece out of styrene to give it some structure and glued them together:
Then I glued the "Blade" onto the base, added a custom finger guard, made a removable clip and put some holes in the handle for a custom touch:
Clip:
The last thing I did was add a scope that I made out of pieces of the binoculars that came with the kit(sorry no separate pic of the build there..)
And finally I give you the Z3D Clipper (Not an actual gun in the game..I made it up..lol)
Next up is painting which I should be able to start tomorrow. As always, let me know what you think. I love getting feedback on here since I don't have people around me that like the same things I do other than my wonderful wife who puts up with it..
once again great job. my two cents is you should try a barrel extention and moving the blade up a little bit to compensate for said barrel extention. Other then those your done oh and thanks for the up date.

I'm going to be adding a barrel extension today (as per your advise ) but it's only going to be about an inch or so, this way I can still have the blade where it is because it's kinda glued in place..lol.
After that paint will start here in a few hours. Thinking of going with the "Baddass Reaper" colors which are red and grey primarily as suggested to me from another forum.
Did a little work in the game room so I had somewhere to display the start of my borderlands collection and thought I would share it:
There's the Z3D Clipper I finished today, The Buzz axe that I made for halloween, The paper mache Psycho Bandit Mask for halloween and the Bandit Thug Helmet.
I decided to take pics and show it off because before I just had the stuff sitting where ever it could. It's nice to have a spot dedicated for them. :cool
